SmartPM Technologies is an Atlanta based construction schedule analytics SaaS software company that is looking to hire a Data Analyst to work in an exciting, fast-paced, fun, and rewarding start-up environment to support our growing client base.

As a Data Analyst at SmartPM, you will be a key team member responsible for building, testing, and maintaining a host of analytical tools that provide insights to aid in business decision-making.


What You’ll Do

  • Data Analysis: Utilize your strong analytical skills to extract, clean, and analyze large datasets to uncover valuable insights and trends.
  • Data Visualization: Create compelling and informative data visualizations using Tableau to help stakeholders understand complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, gather data-related needs, and provide data-driven solutions.
  • Reporting: Generate and distribute regular reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators and provide actionable insights.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure data quality by conducting thorough data validation and implementing data cleansing processes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to proactively identify opportunities to enhance data analysis processes.


What We’re Looking For

  • BA/BS or higher in quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, etc.) or equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability
  • Experience with building analytical models and working with large datasets within Excel
  • Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a passion for data analysis



  • Ability to triage and troubleshoot data consumption and data quality problems
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Flexible approach to work in changing situations and uncertainty
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and troubleshooting skills while juggling multiple projects


Data Analyst: Growth and Proficiencies

  • Build compelling, clear, and powerful visualizations of our data
  • Dive into SmartPM’s internal CRM data and other adjacent systems data to develop solutions that will help move the business forward and enable better decisions to be made in less time
  • Assist with ad hoc data requests to answer questions posed by Sales leadership
  • Develop content and deliver key strategic insights to the executive audience via Business and Metrics review meetings
  • Regularly test reporting accuracy against other sources and proactively audit reporting tools
  • Develop, implement, and maintain leading-edge analytics systems, taking complicated problems and building simple frameworks
  • Identify trends and opportunities for growth through analysis of complex datasets
  • Create best-practice reports based on data mining, analysis, and visualization
  • Evaluate internal systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, and develop and maintain protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data
  • Work directly with managers and users to gather requirements, provide status updates, and build relationships
