At SmartPM, we’re searching for a highly-qualified marketing communications coordinator to work closely with the marketing team who also has a talent for writing and design. From day one, this individual will contribute to existing content programs and marketing communications, while assisting with entry-level design projects including social media and email graphics.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience with a wide-range of communications and/or marketing functions, including blogging, email marketing, and social media marketing. The right candidate not only has excellent writing skills, but is also comfortable writing and communicating about technology and project management. Ultimately the Marketing Communications Coordinator should be able to juggle multiple projects at once and have an eye for detail to ensure our marketing campaigns are produced at the highest quality.



  • Research, write, and edit a weekly blog post
  • Write two or more content assets a month, including checklists, datasheets, eBooks, infographics and/or reports
  • Input blog posts into the WordPress Content Management System (CMS)
  • Optimize blog posts for search using on-page SEO tactics and assist content marketing manager with SEO strategy
  • Write and schedule social media posts and campaigns with guidance from marketing team 
  • Update messaging on social media profiles quarterly and engage with our online community
  • Create graphics for blog post and social media campaigns
  • Create landing pages in CMS for marketing promotions
  • Help draft content for marketing email campaigns and sequences
  • Coordinate interviews and meetings with customers, vendors, partners and influencers to leverage for marketing initiatives
  • Assist in coordinating major marketing events, including trade shows and user conferences


Preferred Qualifications

  • Comfortable writing, co-editing, and collaborating in Google Docs
  • Experience using social media management tools such as Hootsuite, SproutSocial or equivalent
  • Knowledge of current social media trends and personally active on at least one of the following major social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook/Meta, Instagram, or Twitter) 
  • Working knowledge of content management tools and systems, including WordPress and/or HubSpot
  • Basic knowledge of digital marketing design tools, including Adobe Creative Cloud apps–Photoshop and InDesign



  • B.A. in English, Communications, or Journalism 
  • 1-3 years writing experience (or equivalent)
  • Excellent writing and grammar skills
  • Ability to work on and complete multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
